The Teen Advisory Committee spoke to Step Forward’s Building Futures Network Team about their perspectives with the challenges young people face in NWLA during the April Network Team Meeting.
TAC Vice President, Robert Lawrence presented on issues including teen voter registration, career planning, work-based learning, diversity, and mental health with an emphasis on education, health, and community engagement.
The event was filmed by the International Youth Foundation to document the LEAPS project, and to highlight work happening in Northwest Louisiana.
THE TEEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (TAC) is a youth advisory board to the Leadership Council at Step Forward. Members meet regularly to discuss policy planning and programming in the community concerning local teens. Membership provides a valuable opportunity for teens to participate in the democratic process, interact with City leaders and impact important decisions.
